Dear Self one year ago,
How are you? I know things are just difficult right now with all the uncertainty, fear and just the change of situation. Well, one thing is for sure that I know I still need to remind you, breathe.
There’s not much you can do in what’s happening in the world right now, but you are capable of controlling your actions from hereon.
Welcome this pause in your life. Sit down and go back to your blueprints.
Where do you want to go? You have been so busy about just surviving that you forget about your goals, your dreams, your vision, your life. Create that map on where you want to be.
Trust me, it will direct you to where you should be especially on certain moments that you feel doubt in yourself. Don’t forget to write your dreams. In writing things down, you’re one step closer to making it happen.
Never stop learning. Whatever you learn, take it with you. May this be in the form of education, life experience, wisdom from other people; learn from it all. This will help you to grow.
There will be a point sometime this year that it feels like the world would crash down on you. Don’t worry. I got you. I will be there for you. And guess what, I will pick you up. I will cry with you. I will laugh with you. I will be there to take care of you and love you the way you deserve to be loved.
And guess what? You also have amazing friends and family that will be there for you. You were never alone. God is also there even if you don’t see Him but He will let His presence be felt in your darkest time. Just be open to receive the blessings.
The blessings will pour before you even realize it. But of course, I know you never forget to work for it too, that’s why you deserve it. You made it possible so just keep doing what you’re doing. Never lose hope and just keep on bouncing back.
Remember, you have always been a strong woman. Embrace who you are. Don’t let other people change you, unless that change is needed for your improvement. And it is okay to say, No. I know that you still need to practice that but you have to learn to take care of yourself too. You deserve to be happy. So do what makes you happy.
Travel. Take that trip. Be spontaneous. That’s where you will find yourself. Don’t worry too much about finances, it will flow if you let it and for as long as you know that you’ve worked for it diligently. But remember, life is not all about working.
You are supposed to live so make time to live. Make time to laugh, cry, smile, eat good food. Make time to breathe into the moment. Be grateful always because with gratitude everything is just where it’s supposed to be.
In just a span of a year, it felt like a decade of wisdom. You are going to be an amazing woman and people will recognize that even if you don’t see it. With all that you have gone through, you will be strong to face anything. Just don’t forget to breathe and you can lean on people. You don’t need to do things alone. Change is constant, so just flow.
Smile. Keep your head up. And remember this, I have you and you have me. You know what you are capable of. You know what you bring to the table. You are worthy.
Loving and cheering on you always,
Your present self.
